about-2-resize

Shannon began performing at 7 years old while attending a local theatre school. Soon after, in an effort to hone her skills, she began private singing lessons and took every performance opportunity that came her way: from school concerts to local charity events.

At the age of 14 Shannon landed her first job as a backing vocalist, recording a song on the charity album Adam's Smile. Through this experience she learnt how to sing harmonies and manipulate her voice to compliment others, and two year's later became one of the lead vocalist in the Robert Smyth School’s Soul Band - SoulPatrol. During her time with the band Shannon performed in Spain, Denmark and China as well as gigs closer to home, including headlining The Primary Proms at Birmingham Symphony Hall, Birmingham NEC Arena, The Royal Concert Hall in Nottingham and many more.

At the age of 17 Shannon won the title of "Leicestershire's Best Vocalist - Under 18's", and after studying Performing Arts for 2 years at A Level, she auditioned for a number of Musical Theatre and Contemporary Music schools across the country, choosing to enrol at the Academy of Contemporary Music.

At ACM Shannon studied under some fantastic vocal coaches and musicians which helped shape her as the vocalist she is today.

She also gained a place in the ACM Gospel Choir as a soprano performing at venues such as The Royal Albert Hall, SSE Wembley Stadium, London O2 Arena, Somerset House, The Natural History Museum and The Emerging Icon Stage at the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics, backing artists such as Maverick Sabre and Mica Paris.

Shannon's function band 4 To The Floor has also shared the stage with football legend John Barnes for a rendition of The Sugar Hill Gang's Rapper's Delight for the 2016 FA Cup Finals in The FA Lounge at Wembley Stadium. The band regularly perform across the country at wedding, parties and various corporate events in some very beautiful stately homes and venues.

Her time is now spent as the vocalist of choice for some of the country’s busiest function bands, and teaching in schools and privately across Surrey and Hampshire.
